Girls for Gender Equity

Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) works intergenerationally, through a Black feminist lens, to center the leadership of Black girls and gender-expansive young people of color in reshaping culture and policy through advocacy, youth-centered programming, and narrative shift to achieve gender and racial justice. In my current role, I have been responsible for managing and developing the content for all social calendars across X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. I am also responsible for the development of all video content and analytical tracking.

  • Transformed GGE's social media engagement, achieving a 135% month-over-month increase within six months through a strategic overhaul on Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Medium, and Facebook.

  • Orchestrated collaborative efforts with the marketing team to plan and execute impactful brand activations featuring renowned industry influencers Arianna Davis, Ericka Hart, and Shoniqua Shandai; resulting in a 40% increase in brand visibility and engagement metrics.

  • Produced comprehensive internal communication guidelines that align with the organization's values and vision and ensured successful implementation and adherence to these guidelines across all projects within a 1-2 week timespan after their launch.

  • Collaborated with local and national partners to create compelling narratives for Frentorish Bowie, Simone Biles, and Angel Reese.

  • Consistently analyzed data on organizational storytelling, communications, and social media using tools such as Hootsuite, Google Ads, Looker, Jira, Confluence, and Excel. Reduced data analytic meetings by 50%, streamlining decision-making and improving resource allocation.

  • Generated comprehensive monthly reports that showcase digital key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for improvement. Ensure reports are delivered to the relevant stakeholders by the 1st of each month.

TurnUp Activism

TurnUp is the largest youth-led voter registration and turnout initiative on a mission to strengthen democracy. My responsibilities include digital strategy and social media management for the organization's

    • Aisha Becker Burrowes - A social impact strategist, consultant, and communications professional working at the intersections of media, communications, and social change, with a particular emphasis on racial equity and gender justice.  She co-founded and leads brand strategy and impact at FEMINIST (@feminist), the largest women-owned social-first digital platform dedicated to women, girls, and gender-expansive people with a global audience of over 6M+.

Chatdesk

Managed a series called “The Formula” - A series to highlight successful executives in E-commerce. I worked to Sourced influencers, developed contracts, and negotiated rates for the e-commerce series. Each conversation lasted a span of 30 minutes with all conversation topics and questions being mutually agreed on with selected talent.

Live Nation #SLEN

A coalition of stages, venues, performers, and workers in the live events industry, #SaveLiveEventsNOW was an initiative to support the more than 12 million people impacted by the industry shutdown due to COVID-19.

  • Meningitis B Action Project - The Meningitis B Action Project was founded by Patti Wukovits and Alicia Stillman. Patti and Alicia each lost their young, healthy daughters too soon to a now vaccine-preventable disease, Meningitis B.
