I am beyond grateful for the vulnerability and courage of those who shared their stories with me. In talking, laughing, and photographing each of the interviewees, the common denominator in each of their stories was how integral grace was to their individual journeys. In allowing themselves the grace to stumble, they provided themselves the room to grow. I personally internalized grace as a hesitation to judge and rather an inclination to seek understanding. It is this kind of attitude that I hope viewers take away from the project and contemplate the next time they see someone experiencing homelessness or addiction.
