Due to corrupted audio, we have decided to include a summary instead of a transcription.

In speaking with Mr. Denton, we learned about the power of resilience, faith, and what it means to be a champion. Denton began his interview by informing us about his “Black Friday Rose” and his gold embellished “Champion Belt.” Both were characterized by Denton as medals of an overcomer. These symbols have helped him in his walk of sobriety and life after the perils of addiction.

Denton described his new life as a blessing from God. His faith has guided him throughout this journey time after time. In his walk, he has also learned how to carry himself in pride. He talked greatly about posture and what it means to stand as a proud man. Denton also informed us about his interest in running as a result of The Midnight Mission.

Midnight Mission has a running club that allows participants to work on their health and learn leadership and persistence. Through this group, Denton has had the opportunity to travel to a host of different locations for fellowship with other runners. He spoke highly of his visit to Vietnam and the purpose he felt through his group.

Denton was one of the first individuals we got a chance to interview. His smile is infectious and his testimony is eye-opening. He remains a beacon of light in everything he does. He also stressed the importance of showing himself and anyone he meets grace. Denton is truly a shining example of a champion and we are so grateful for his presence.
