The mission provided an opportunity to experience raw stories from individuals who will have a lasting impact in my life. People have an infinite amount of ways they show connection to one another. Through this project, I was given the opportunity to connect, talk, and laugh with individuals who know the struggle that is addiction and homelessness. It is important to note homelessness and addiction are two terms that are not synonymous with someone's character. They are conditions and there is life behind those conditions. That life and the reality of the humans that persist through these conditions, must be acknowledged. It is my hope that this project helps to do just that.
